How to plan and prepare for bank/ competitive exam?
We all know that every year lakhs or at least thousands of students get recruited by various companies and organizations through conducting (their own) competitive exams. Competitive exams in India are, Placements by MNC's - both On-campus and Off-campus, Bank recruitment, Government Jobs and many other Private Sector Jobs. Aspirants who are willing and preparing for these jobs should be very cautious.

As there is a huge competition, many think that it is impossible to overcome these competitive exams. But in fact nothing is impossible now a days, a famous quote says "even Impossible has Possible in it", as we have lot of sources for getting guidance and material for preparing to lead the competition. "Internet", "Google" are our best friends who provide the exact and perfect help to get success in the competitive exams.

Yes trust me, anyone and "even" everyone can clear the competition, whatever the competition be, by proper vision in planning and preparation.

So, let us see what are the requirements for getting success in the competitive exams (especially for fresher’s), as these exams concentrate only on the students ability on solving thinking, awareness (general and current affaires) and computer awareness. Here are the things you must have, to be as one among in the final selected list to get the job.

How do I prepare for the job?

Answer for this question depends on the exam you are appearing for. As, the preparation varies from exam to exam except some sections or topics. Then "How should i prepare for my exam?" this might be your present question right? Don’t worry I am here to help you.

First of all know about the exam and the organization or company which is going to conduct the exam you are appearing for.

Here I am providing the list of opportunities:
  •          Placements Jobs
  •          Bank Jobs
  •          Government Jobs
  •          Private sector Jobs

Placements:

Many companies give simple questions but maintain some tricky questions within it, students who have not prepared for exam gets eliminated by these tricky questions. And some MNC's (Infosys) give importance for English section Questions. Few other companies prefer only technical questions like on C, C++, Java and Database Questions.

Banks:

You need to know the organization which will conduct the exam like IBPS, SBI, RBI and other Private Sector Bank jobs. As the standard of the question paper varies for all these banking organizations. Generally standard for the above exams is as follows RBI maintains the high standard then comes to SBI and its Associates, now a days IBPS also maintaining too much standard in their IBPS-PO exam. Government:

Everyone knows that getting into government sector is not that much easy as other jobs. Because there will be heavy even we can say that too much competition for few posts, as posts will be divided into each reservation category and zonal category. Overall Standard of the papers will be little simple but heavy competition.

Private Sector:

We cannot estimate anything from this sector. It depends.

Planning Early:

Don’t do mistake by not planning for the preparation of exam, be planned before the notification got released as many students who have already prepared are waiting to present their preparation efforts and skills in the exams. So to lead this competition you must be ready to face these guys. And these days there is a heavy competition in every field. Especially in banking sector after the introduction of single test (i.e., common entrance test for all public sector banks) you have to be very cautious as if you miss the test to qualify then have to wait an addition one more year to appear again for the exam. So be prepared, I mean at least plan for the exam preparation like how to prepare for the exam, when to prepare (set your own time table), know the syllabus well, collect the required books and mainly keep hope in yourself that you can and you will succeed the competition.

Preparation:

“Practice makes man perfect” this is a perfect quote to motivate and even to make a student aware of the exam preparation. Never be lazy while you are preparing for any competitive exam, as preparing with time management (i.e., spending specific time on the given question or problem) can and will make you perfect in getting the answer within less time as a result you can solve more number of questions in the exam, which results in good score and keeps you in the position which you are looking for. So be planned and cautious while preparing for exam.
If possible prefer to take coaching in good institute and it is not mandatory to take coaching. And there is no guarantee that you will always succeed after taking coaching. Here you can analyze yourself whether you need to go for Coaching or by self-preparation?

Take Efforts:

Whatever the exam be, whatever the competition be; just concentrate on your target and dream of your success.
Meanwhile you have to give your efforts while preparing, like taking notes of important points and important formulas so that you can refer whenever you want without wasting any time for searching these things again and again. Find some shortcuts for quantitative, which will help you in solving questions in the exam which may consume much time. Don’t simply depend on the notes and shortcuts which are given by others, try to make your own shortcuts so that you can remember them easily.

Interview:

We all know that this is the final step for your success. In other words “you have already reached to your room of success by stepping up each step (exam), the only thing left is to open the doors to get in”. Thus Interview is just like a key, the last and final step to get succeed. Just be prepared what interviewers are looking for? Don’t be panic, you have to be happy because you have already cleared all the tests. The only thing the interviewers test here is that “Do you really opt for the current job?”, you have to be very confident because you are here only because of your interest in that particular job. So just show (to be fact you have to “present”) your interest in front of the interviewers (don’t forget your hard work which you have given in preparation and get motivated yourself).

All the very best for all the aspirants who are preparing for the competitive exams
