Scripted answers: Never tell the scripted answers (be genuine)

As said earlier, don’t tell the answers which you have seen somewhere or told by someone. Then what to answer when the interviewer ask to say some strengths and weaknesses? Here is the best answer for your question, be honest and tell them the genuine answer, yes it gives them a positive impression on you. Genuine answers are always the best choice one can have, and interviewers easily gets convinced by your genuine answers, but prepare how to explain all these things in a very con-vincible and pleasing way.

Focus on your strengths

As we can identify our strengths easily and even interviewers look forward to hear more about their interviewee’s strengths because they can use these strengths for their company’s growth. So tell them the most important strengths there, such that the interviewer can note them to apply in future.

Don’t skip the weaknesses

As everyone has strengths and even their own weaknesses, so how can you tell them that you don’t have even a single weakness. So, you have to tell them some or at least a single weakness along with your strengths.

What are the steps to be taken to overcome weaknesses?

There is a chance of being asked by the question after explaining your weaknesses that how will you overcome these weaknesses? Then what is the best answer to convince them? The best possible way is while you discuss with them about your weaknesses then immediately follow with the steps you are taking to overcome those weaknesses, this gives a best impression on you that you are always ready to analyze yourself to improve yourself on your own. And also tells them that this is always an ongoing process to develop yourself.

Don’t blame anyone about your weaknesses

Be careful while answering about your weaknesses in the interview, it should not implicit or blame anyone either directly or indirectly.

Avoid some common answers

  • My biggest weakness is actually my strength.
  • I would like to take control or dominate in a group. (This will do a huge loss if you won’t explain them properly)
  • I am a perfectionist.
  • I like to work independently.

If you already have an experience of interviews then you might have got the question “can you provide a case or example for the same” after answering to the strengths and weaknesses question.
